As the Eagle Flies

This has everything you look for in an easy overture.  The slow and fully scored introduction gets everyone started confidently together on a theme they all share.  Using this same theme, various sections take turns presenting it in a brisk style before joining  together for a legato setting of a familiar chorale followed by a return to the beginning for a lively finish.  Fun to play and with percussion parts at a slightly higher level than winds it sounds far more difficult than it is.
