As Those Before Me

Anthem Descriptions for MyScore AS THOSE BEFORE ME This anthem is a meditation on the sacredness of north woods creatures - loons, eagles and deer. The text makes us aware of generations of human beings who came before us who also experienced their presence and were filled with awe. Written in a minor key, sounds that imitate these creatures are heard and communicated through the voices and the piano. It can be used in either a sacred or secular setting. (It was first written and published as an acapella SSA anthem with Native American flute, published by Kjos. This edition has been rewritten for SATB choir and piano and has been substantially altered and edited.)
