This piece is a chamber piece using a Perriot ensemble set -up. The piece
begins with a meloncholy cello solo that builds into the main melody, as the
ostinato begins to build the tension. Through the first section each
instrument gets introduced with a slight variant of the first melody. The
second section explores a phasing of the full ostinato, while the melody sits
on top much like the thunder and rain in a storm. The third section modulates
to major, as though the sun was breaking through the clouds and ends with the
more hopeful sounding melody in a vibraphone and piano duet
