J. Gadsden created the Waves of Distress melody in June of 2018 which is
  meant to resemble an unbearable and sometimes debilitating mix between waves
  of depression and an unprovoked anxiety attack. This piece is written in a
  6/8 syncopation melody, which conveys the wave-like rhythm. The composition
  opens up with a brief ostinato transitioning to a hauntingly beautiful melody
  played by the lower and higher pitched winds and an aggressive percussive
  rhythm to accompany the winds. Which will be sure to highlight your band's
  performance!

Recommended for high school concert band, this beautiful winter-like piece starts off with a delightful accompaniment featuring flute and bells, then a small piece of "Auld Lang Syne" (Robert Burns) shows up in Section 7, leading up to a holiday-like thrill ride in sections 9 through 11, finally closing off with a faster more upbeat "Auld Lang Syne." This piece will have the audience cheering until the reindeer come home!
