This arrangement beautifully weds the gospel hymn roots of this favorite Easter hymn with a modern pianistic setting. Be sure the moving eighth notes in the first verse do not overshadow the melody. After the key change take plenty of time for expressing the melody in the midst of the rich harmonies. The ending also requires a contemplative, tender touch in the final statement of the melody.
