Attende Domine/Leave the Past in Ashes

Intended for use on Ash Wednesday, there are actually two pieces in this octavo. This first is a two-part setting of Attende Domine, with four new verses incorporating new images for the persons of the Trinity, specifically as they relate to healing from sin. This serves as a kind of introduction to the title song, a setting of Joel 2 (also for two-part choir), which is a little-used antiphon that the Roman Missal offers to accompany the distribution of ashes.
