Baroque Variations for Flute and Band

Famous for his compositions for viola da gamba, Marin Marais later transcribed the old tune Les Folies d'Espagne for flute. This setting uses the theme followed by six variations. As each variation fits the same chord progression, the soloist may substitute variations where suitable. The soloist may use the ornaments as indicated or improvise ornamentation as desired.
