Basic Rhythms

This addition to the Sound Check Series focuses on evaluating, teaching and reinforcing basic counting skills. One line rhythmic patterns can be performed in large group rehearsals or individually by counting out loud, clapping, or performing in unison or with scales. Adaptable to any rehearsal situation, the parts fit easily into music folders and they can be used in just a few minutes of each rehearsal.  The rhythms used are found in Book 1 of the Sight Reading Book for Band, making this an effective pre-requisite study in preparing students for sight reading study and is also effective in use for auditions, grading and evaluating progress.
