Bass Line Rock

Performance Notes Bass Line Rock features the band's low brass and low woodwinds sections. It is easy enough for a Spring performance by a 1st year band which has been taught to count and play simple 8th note patterns. It is also suitable for 2nd year bands. Clarinets are always below the break. All wind instruments use only the 1st first seven notes introduced in most band method books. These notes are B-flat, C, D, E-flat, F, G and A-flat. The bass line is the familiar 12-bar blues pattern. Young performers will also have an opportunity to perform a crescendo a m. 17 and again at m. 41. Thank you for choosing this composition.
