"Beautiful Savior" (also known as "Fairest Lord Jesus" or "Crusader's Hymn") traces back to a 17th-Century
German hymnody, with its well-known melody from a traditional Silesian folktune. Roming included this
arrangement in her Easter cantata for SSAA, Hosanna, and has reworked it here to stand alone. This piece
enhances the traditional melody with lush harmonies in the choir, and a beautiful accompaniment
written specifically for Pedal Harp. The harp's unique timbre and capabilities, paired with the close
choral harmonies, bring new life to this traditional hymn, make it a stunning yet familiar addition to choral
concerts or religious events.
