Beyond the Blue

Take an ocean voyage with this programmatic work for concert band. A steadily driving rhythmic motor grows through rising harmonies and expanding textures before the arrival of the full ensemble suggests reaching the shoreline. A more lyrical section follows, retaining a strong underlying pulse. The music is thoughtfully crafted, expressive, and well suited to high school musicians.
