Birk's Works

This classic minor blues by Dizzy Gillespie is set in a comfortable medium swing style. A small group is featured at the top using the distinctive stylings and articulations of the original recording. Nice and accessible passages for the full ensemble as well as a satisfying shout chorus are featured along with solo space for trumpet and tenor saxophone.
