Lecons de Danse

In the years 1995/96 Hans Werner Henze composed the ballet Le fils de l'air ou L'enfant change en jeune homme. After the magical transformation of the art of jugglers, into whose world the boy gets lost, he is taught "the craft of the acrobat" in a dance scene.Since the music of this scene is written only for percussion ensemble, harp and piano, it was expressly intended by the composer forseparate performances with this instrument.
