Black Sails

A fast-paced high seas adventure that features arpeggiated woodwinds, powerful brass hits, and bombastic percussion. Set in a rollicking 6/8, the piece constantly drives forward, building energy throughout. Sections of dynamic percussion and abrasive brass accents are contrasted with more lyrical material where the melody becomes calmer and is shared throughout the ensemble. The intensity then builds to the end where the whole ensemble comes together for an action-packed finale.
