Blue and Sentimental

Count Basie recorded this tune several times over several decades. This version has been transcribed from the "Atomic Basie" album released in 1960. The chart features tenor, piano, trumpet and clarinet (alto 2) and all of the solos are written out "as-played." Except for the trumpet solo, players can improvise their own solos from the provided chords if preferred. Included is an extra alto 2 part that avoids the clarinet double. This is a lovely late night chart which can be used in both gig and concert settings.
