Blue Motion

This advanced exciting work, for multi percussion duet, uses a combination of two marimbas (one five octave low C and one low A), vibraphone, two floor toms, hi hat with remote pedal, sizzle cymbal, shaker, caxixi, afuche cabasa, kit bass drum with double pedal attachment, two splash cymbals, China cymbal and a triangle.  At nine minutes in length, the work has a great feel of drive and momentum with the pulse remaining constant from start to finish.  There is contrast between the soft spacious sections and the impelling rhythmic grooves, with coordination demands between hands and feet along with constant energetic communication between the two performers.
