Boats Against The Current

A challenging, five-minute concert closer, this composition for Winds and Percussion evolved over forty years from a solo trumpet work written when the composer was 18 years old. It has gone through several manifestations since then, with the final version being premiered in 2018 by the Missouri State University Wind Ensemble under the direction of John Zastoupil.
