Bossa No Mas

Allen Carter's Bossa No Mas features several horn a cappella sections, so it's important for the saxes and brass to have excellent time feels in order to be able to play the chart comfortably. The pleasant melody has a harmonic frame that is loosely based on Chega De Saude, with just enough twists and turns to make it its own thing. In addition to the tricky ensemble passages, there is an improvised flute solo that will require a technically adept soloist.
