Composed literally overnight (October 23-24, 2015 for the 24-Hour Arts Challenge at the University of Wisconsin-Marathon County), this engaging piece resonates with today's singers because of both it's subject matter (relationships in the age of Snapchat and emojis) and it's fun, accessible, and energetic setting. Based on a poem by Rachel Stuplich, it begins with a subdued frenzy of 'witty banter,' moves to a daydreamy pondering of the perfect 'snapsterpiece,' and pauses for a moment of self-reflection before resuming the witty banter via 'emoticon's winky faces, semicolon capital P.' (;P) A surefire choir and crowd pleaser!
