Brahms Lullaby

Slightly modernised with a hint of jazz harmonies near the end, this is a sensitive, tastefully arranged quartet. With rich chording and gentle rhythms there is an air of comfort and calm. It is an attractive piece to perform and is a novel concert item, perhaps for a student ensemble. An impressive version, it can demonstrate the expressive qualities of the players.
