This set of variations on the Danish Christmas tune DELIG ER DEN HIMMEL BLAA features a happy and lighthearted verse, a standard hymn setting, a softer, more contemplative mood with handchimes, and a dramatic transition with random ringing into the final, majestic conclusion. Techniques include malleting, thumb damping, shaking, and LVs, and there are no accidentals.
