Bring Us, O Lord God

Gerald Near has set a sublime text by John Donne, providing restrained, elegant music that responds to the text with lyricism, mixed meter, and thoughtful dissonance. The organ part nicely supports the SATB choral texture, and there is an optional a cappella section of about eight measures.
