Byzantine Dances

This is a thrilling work that will engage both students and audiences from the start! The use of the harmonic major scale gives this work its Byzantine flavor while a full percussion section provides plenty of color. A slower and mysterious B section introduces snapping, and the recap of the initial theme utilizes clapping effects. An exciting ending rounds out this adventure! The adaptability of this piece allows for it to be played with as few as five players, which makes it highly flexible for many performance or rehearsal situations.
