Canonic Variants

This is the famous Pachelbel Canon... even though it isn't! The music borrows freely from Pachelbel's melodies and infinitely maintains the repeating eight notes of the bass line, but unlike a canon, these melodies constantly change and cannot be performed simultaneously. The arranger has transformed the work into a tiny concertino, giving much of the band little four-measure pieces of the pie.
