Canzona Bergamasca

Your students will gain independence and listening skills by playing this Renaissance composition from the early 1600s.  A canzona is an intensely polyphonic form where each musical line imitates and echoes one another.  Brass arrangements of this type are extremely popular, however, this piece was originally composed for strings.  Your students will feel the magic of making a remarkable piece of early music come alive!
