Hodie/Today on Earth was commissioned by Garrison Keillor and "A
  Prairie Home Companion" in 2012. Based on the 15th century antiphon
  Hodie Christus Natus Est, the piece is a joyful Christmas song.
    
    It was written for the DiGiallonardo Sisters and the All-Star Shoe Band,
  and received its premiere on " A Prairie Home Companion" on
  December
    
    22, 2012 at Town Hall in New York, NY. The SATB a cappella version was
  premiered by Vocalis Chamber Choir in Buffalo, NY in 2013.

A secular winter piece for SATB chorus. The piece invites the listener to
  discover something new.

Snow Globe Upon a Sill

"Like Softest Music" was commissioned in celebration of a
  wedding anniversary. It sets three lines from "Romeo and Juliet."
  Much of the music is performed sotto voce and creates a beautiful choral
  soundscape.

This piece is an imitative motet, celebrating light. The downward contour
  represents the light streaming in and the rising line that follows it, the
  light that raises one's spirits up. It was commissioned by the Friends School
  of Baltimore to commemorate the 225th anniversary of the schools founding.

O Lux

Written for the Womenis Choir of Buffalo, this piece is an anthem to
  sisterhood. It is about being a sister, a friend, a woman; it is about
  listening to each other, supporting one another, and fighting for all we
  deserve.

This winter piece depicts two stargazers during the pandemic observing
  the Great Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter that occurred on the solstice in
  2020. As the two planets come together, the stargazers contemplate human
  distance as well.

This lyrical carol imagines sunrise on the first Christmas morning.
    
    It was premiered in 2015 by the Vocalis Chamber in Buffalo, New York. Words
