Focusing on eighth notes, staccatos, a few accidentals, and a chromatic exercise in the mallets, this piece is great for not only learning some new skills but really helping students break out of their shells! Parts for the students to make "random cat noises", meowing, and have fun while learning new concepts will be sure to be a hit for your first-year students.
