Rondo stressato

"Rondo stressato" evokes one's movement through the stresses of daily life while striving to present a calm facade to the world.The five sections of the string orchestra often split into as many as nine, simultaneously using different string techniques like pizzicato, staccato, and arco. The form of the piece, the rondo form, also contributes to the story, illustrating how a stressed person occasionally attempts to slow down, though they are inevitably pulled back into the chaos of daily life. The rondo form features several sections separated by a recurring section (ABACA), but this one has a twist: every time the A section returns, it is ever more stressed, transposed up to higher keys as it progresses through the piece.The stress seems to be mostly hidden, under control, as Rondo stressato keeps it together with a very steady tempo.
