This is an ancient narrative song by Jehan Planson. Characters insult and talk to each other; that's how they liven up the rhythm of the text and the song. "La plus belle de la ville" was composed by Clement Janequin (ref. ACJ 6029) and published fifty years before "Chambriere" which was a simple song with dialogs and an easy melody to memorise. Jehan Planson added "hola hola" in order to the choristers to comment on the song on a naughty, surprising or disapproving tone. This funny and discerning song is famous. The composer changed the structure from three to four voices.
