Childhood Favorites is an arrangement for first year ensembles. It primarily uses the first 5 notes learned but does include concert A for altos, tenors, and
French horns. It explores two children's songs used in many lesson books. Lightly Row and Jim Along Josie. It is a good introduction to eighth notes,
dynamics, and the use of the staccato and accented articulations. Snare drums have the opportunity to use rim playing as an alternative sound from their
instrument. This arrangement will work with limited instrumentation as parts are doubled by instrument range.
