Choral Error Detection

Designed to help the choral conductor develop skills of critical listening, this outstanding resource will improve your ability to detect errors in a choir's performance. It is a collection of short choral examples to be utilized for analysis and score preparation. The accompanying audio has a performance of each example with mistakes intentionally included. Using a reproducible evaluation sheet, the listener is challenged to identify and categorize the mistakes and offer solutions to fix them. The examples represent many voicings, textures, time periods and levels of difficulty. The book and audio can be used as a text for choral pedagogy, undergraduate or graduate conducting, and/or rehearsal techniques.
