This solid and stately setting is useful for any congregation wanting a festive Easter setting for congregation, SATB (with soprano descant), organ, and optional brass quintet and timpani. An extended organ or brass introduction version based on Bach's setting of Christ Lag in Todesbaden from the Orgelbuchlein is also available. Instrumental parts include two trumpets in C or B-flat, horn in F, two trombones (trombone 2 with F attachment or bass trombone), and timpani.
