Christ, the Very Light was written for and premiered as part of a presentation of Lessons and Carols by Caritas Chamber Chorale in a series of five concerts in December 2016 and January 2017. Entitled The Coming of the Light, the concert consisted of nine lessons; this work followed the reading of the eighth.
The mp3 audio file is taken from the May 1, 2018 release of Res Miranda - Marvelous Thing, which is the second CD recording of Caritas Chamber Chorale. All sales of both CDs are for the benefit of the Adorno Fathers' African Mission.
