The original edition, scored for voices and orchestra, had a piano reduction which was difficult to adapt for organ. This 1986 edition mends that with a skillfully-written organ accompaniment. In addition, Dale Wood has added parts for handbells (3 or 4 octave), flute and oboe (Flute II), included in the choral score. The orchestra won't be missed since the instrumentation is faithful to Gustav Holst's version. In addition, some tricky vocal lines have been modestly revised to avoid built-in problems. This marvelous collage includes: Good Christian Men Rejoice; God Rest You Merry Gentlemen; Come, Ye Lofty, Come, Ye Lowly and The First Noel. Duration is approximately seven minutes...of joy!
