Christmas Quatrain

This medley has it all and can easily be the centerpiece of any holiday performance! True to the poetic term "Quatrain," which means four lines that make a coherent stanza, these four holiday classics make a powerful and dynamic Christmas performance! In Angels We Have Heard On High, the brilliant interchange between the sections makes for a rich sound, full of variety! Next comes The Coventry Carol done with mutes in a darker, subtle cantabile movement that is gorgeous. Third comes a very merry God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen with counterpoint pizzicati motives in the upper strings, acting as an ostinato over the singing lower strings! Finally, it all segues flowingly into O Come All Ye Faithful (Adeste Fideles), which actually brings back the opening motive of the first movement to bring it all to a rousing conclusion.
