Christmas Star

Here is a beautiful anthem for the Christmas season or Epiphany. The piano introduction, based on the familiar carol We Three Kings, sets the stage for the journey of the wisemen. The choir sings of the kings from long ago following a star, and where we are today in our journey and searching. The arrangement features the men in the first verse and the women in the second. The refrain, all about the star, weaves the women's and men's voices together. The warm and contrasting B section (a cappella option) leads into a climactic antiphonal section about love, hope, peace and light. The piece ends with the refrain.
