Classical Destinations is a unique multimedia curriculum that introduces the world of classical music to young people in grades five through twelve. Your students will travel through six multimedia destinations, each one a journey through the music and culture of a particular country. The six destinations are Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Russia and Scandinavia. Each destination kit includes a DVD and a CD-ROM. The carefully structured units consist of easy-to-use video, audio and MIDI, with interactive quizzes and specially designed orchestral scores to introduce essential concepts of classical music. The 240-page book upon which the curriculum is based has more than 200 stunning color photographs. It takes readers on a tour of the history and geography of classical music, examining the lives of the great composers.
