Come, O Come, Emmanuel

The traditional Advent text is lovingly paired with Bach's chorale, Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring. Bach's genius transforms the tunes, and the displaced metric stresses seem quite natural. True to Bach, there are long instrumental sections in which worship narrations may be inserted.
