Community's Embrace, A

This music celebrates the life of Adrienne Grunow. It combines her rhythm and vibration with things that are dear to her. By listening and performing ADRIENNE'S BLISS, you will have the honor of getting to know her and her spirit will live on. All three movements are available as a set. The set is listed separately. Adrienne helped create welcoming, respectful, caring, and vibrant communities in her life, work, and play. She was a catalyst for bringing people together and her presence reverberated in all her communities. This resonance is represented by the letters of her namesA, B, C, G (all of which are members of the musical alphabet). A simple, yet elegant binary form (musically represented as AB) was chosen for the second movement. It opens with Adrienne's instrument, Alto Saxophone, contemplatively playing the pitches A and G, then A and B. With the full presentation of her pitches (A, B, C, G), others are drawn in and slowly join in. Adrienne welcomed others with open arms and in return she received A Community's Embrace.
