2 Horns and Piano (the solo horns parts are available only with this edition; full score and instrumental parts for this concerto are also available). Johann David Heinichen was born in the village of Croessuln (near Weissenfels, Germany) on April 17, 1683. He was trained not only in music but also in the law (as indeed were Kuhnau, Graupner, and Telemann), and practiced law in Weissenfels until 1709. In 1717, Heinichen gained a position in the court of Prince Leopold of Anhalt-Coethen (at the same time as Johann Sebastian Bach), going on to be Kapellmeister to the Elector of Saxony. He died on July 16, 1729, and is buried in the Johannes cemetery in Weissenfels.
