Concerto for Flute and Orchestra

Written for a smaller orchestra, the score calls for the traditional body of strings plus three single woodwind instruments (oboe, clarinet, bassoon), three brass instruments (horn, trumpet, trombone), harp and percussion. This ensemble was chosen to provide a wide palette of instrument colors, while preserving the careful balance that must be maintained with the flute soloist.a
