'Cool Ade' is a jazz piece. The title implies that my piece is 'cool,' and it also refers to the popular juice drink. The opening idea is in 9/8. The left hand is clearly in compound triple time, but the right hand tries to force it into 4/4, which doesn't quite work due to that pesky extra eighth note. The second idea is a swing section in 12/8. Keep the eighth note beat constant throughout. Bar 65 commences a kind of development section, mixing the two ideas, just like a sonata. The reprise of the opening begins in bar 111 and proceeds to a proper jazzy ending.
