Corpus Christi, Youre Our Gem, written by long-time Corpus Christi resident, music teacher and composer, Cathy Harrison, to our gorgeous and community-minded coastal city of Corpus Christi, Texas. Corpus Christi, Youre Our Gem refers to Corpus Christi affectionately as our treasure, our gem, queen of the ocean blue, beacon of light and anchor of hope. Corpus Christi, Youre Our Gem is bilingual, with both the chorus and verses sung in both English and Spanish (perhaps there will be a French verse soon!) Corpus Christi, Youre Our Gem has been pitched officially to the Corpus Christi City Council for consideration for adoption as the Official City Song of Corpus Christi, Texas.
