For the Easter season, here is an effective, rhythmic setting of a Joel Raney hymn setting that has been newly transcribed for handbells by Arnold Sherman. With a tempo marking of Con brio, you can imagine the energy and joyous character for which this hymn has been treated with syncopated rhythms, martellato lifts, shakes, and a mallet roll to add a contemporary feel to the celebration. An optional trumpet part is provided for festive occasions.
