'Cruising Down the Nile Trio'

This intermediate piano solo depicts a lovely, non-frightening dynasty of shadows. Begins with a lengthy intro establishing key of E and uses some chromaticism. Intro is in 4/4 time and changes to 3/4 time in A section. Right hand carries single-note melody while left hand supports using Alberti Bass accompaniment. B section introduces lovely lyrical harmonies in parallel 3rds and 6ths. Form: intro A B C A coda. Imaginative use of pedals, lush harmonies, lots of dynamic shading, as well as being lyrical in nature puts this solo in the Romantic style. Makes a great recital piece!
