Crystal Oscillation

Inspired by a video game crashing during a boss battle, this work is for medium‑level concert band with an advanced soloist part adaptable to any instrument. The music reflects the unstable, high‑stakes energy of a game glitching at the most frustrating time. The title references a crystal oscillator, an electronic circuit used in systems like the Sega Genesis, represented by rapid sixteenth‑note runs, complex rhythms, and escalating technical demands in the solo line.
