Dance of the Samodivi

Inspired by the folklore of the samodivi (woodland fairies) in Slavic myths, here is a piece with rhythms and intervals reminiscent of traditional folk dances of Eastern Europe. An unusual change of pace for any concert, this work will remind listeners of enchanted forests and favorite fairy tales.  Each section has vital roles to play and the result is exciting!
