David Carr Glover Method for Piano

The beginning student between ages 8 and 9 may begin with this Primer Book. It starts with a seven page orientation to the piano and the keyboard and includes an introduction to the musical alphabet, rhythm, the staff, and melodic 2nds. This level then goes right into playing from grand staff in middle C position, one note at a time.  As the book progresses, the following concepts are gradually presented: 3rds, 4ths, 5ths; C and G Major positions; melodic and harmonic intervals; flats and sharps; staccato; and the damper pedal. The student plays tunes at the elementary to late elementary level by the end of this level.
