Dervish Dance

Here is an energetic dance in the Dorian mode, which gives it a Middle Eastern flavor. �The opening section can be played as fast as possible, followed by the contrasting slow section. �The closing is a powerful depiction of the famed "Whirling Dervish." �Even though the piece is speedy, the notes lay well under the fingers, and it sounds much more difficult than it is. �An excellent festival opener or closer!
