Devil's Dream is an old fiddle tune of unknown origins. It can be played as either a jig or a reel and is from New England. I originally arranged this tune as a fun duet for my children when they had been playing for a couple of years. Late 2nd year and early 3rd year students will be able to play this tune. Devil's Dream is, and has been since its introduction, a popular tune with fiddlers and dancers and has been recorded numerous times.
Each student part comes with Building Blocks and an Orchestra Arrangement page. On the Building Blocks page the students learn to play the different parts of the piece. They learn melody, create an accompaniment and play a bass line.
The pdf has 4 pages for each student part. The parts come double-sided, with note names on one side and no note names on the other. My hope is that this way of learning will help your students with their music reading ability over time.
